Chief of the Royal Australian Air Force Air Marshal G N Davies praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces
Australian’s Chief of Royal Australian Air Force, Air Marshal Gavin Neil Davies met with Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Suhail Aman and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah in one on one separate meetings.
Air Marshal Gavin Neil Davies, who is on an official visit to Pakistan visited Naval Headquarters Islamabad. The top Australian official called on the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah.
During meeting with Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, professional matters of mutual interest between the two countries were discussed.
The Australian Naval Chief also acknowledged Pakistan’s commitment and performance in the fight against terrorism, including their participation of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan (CMCP) and Counter Piracy Operations.
Further, the Australian chief also praised Pakistan Navy’s role and focused commitment in support of maritime security and stability in the region.
Later on, Air Marshal Gavin Neil Davies also visited Pakistan Air Force Headquarters.
On arrival, the distinguished guest was received at the Air Headquarters by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, where a smartly turned out contingent of PAF presented him the guard of honour.
The Australian chief paid tribute to the martyrs of PAF by laying a floral wreath on Martyrs Monument. The visiting dignitary was introduced to the principal staff officers of Pakistan Air Force. He was also given a detailed briefing on the PAF.
During meeting with Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest.
The Australian chief also visited Joint Staff Headquarters. He had called on General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
The two discussed matters pertaining to regional security and bilateral cooperation during the meeting.
Chief of the Royal Australian Air Forces also acknowledged the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in battle against terrorism.
