Emma Stone is 2017’s best-paid actress making $26m (£20m), according to Forbes
Hollywood star Emma Stone is year’s highest-paid actress surpassing Jennifer Lawrence in the Forbes highest-paid actress of 2017 list.
The Oscar-winning La La Land, the city and its celluloid namesake has been very kind to Emma, which took her soaring to the top.
According to Forbes highest-paid actress list 2017, Emma Stone has topped list of the highest-paid actresses, banked $26 million pretax in our 12 month scoring period.
Jennifer Aniston is in second place with total earnings of $25.5m (£19.8m) while Lawrence comes in at number three with $24m (£18.6m) (she topped the list last year with $46m – £35.7m).
Forbes said that majority of 28 years young star Stone’s takings generated from Damien Chazelle’s musical La La Land which had global box office takings of over $445m (£345.2m).
Just last month, the star waded in on Hollywood’s gender wage gap issue stating that her male co-stars have previously taken pay cuts in a bid to ensure equality.
For years, blockbuster stars like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock had been leading the pack of highest-earning Hollywood women.
Aniston made contributions to the heaping $172.5 million actresses brought in between June 2016 and June 2017—Bullock and Jolie didn’t appear on the top 10 list at all—it was Stone who banked the most, bringing in roughly $26 million pretax within a year.
However, after Stewart’s introduction to the list launched the start of breakthrough actresses, like Lawrence and Stone, finally scoring the highest-earning title.
