Four Pakistani movies you should watch this Eid

This Eid brings good news for Pakistani movie fans as Eid ul Fitr marks the release of four most anticipated and star-studded Lollywood movies of the year.

There’s the action-packed Azaadi and also the enchanting story about a quest for love i.e. 7 Din Mohabbat In. Another movie Wajood stars the very popular Danish Taimoor while Mikaal Zulfiqar fans can line up for Na Band Na Baraati.

1. 7 Din Mohabbat In

7 Din mohabbat In

7 Din Mohabbat In is a romantic comedy film, directed by Meenu & Farjad under Matteela Films. Written by Fasih Bari Khan, The story plot follows a young man Tipu (Sheheryar Munawar) on a quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighborhood. He must overcome the obstacles, both spiritual and physical, to achieve his goals.

Genre: Romantic comedy, with elements of fantasy.

Stars: Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawwar, Jawed Shaikh, Mira Sethi, Amna Ilyas, Hina Dilpazir, Beo Rana Zafar, Ayesha Omar, and Amir Qureshi.

2. Na Band Na Baraati

The film Na Band Na Baraati will be trailing the lives of few Pakistani families living in Canada. It has a jumble of cultures, compassion, love, mischief, and entertainment. It has been described by actor Mikaal Zulfiqar as “a story of two brothers always getting into trouble.” Ali Kazmi has dubbed it “a total family entertainer”. This is the first Pakistani film to have been shot entirely in Canada.

Genre: Family drama told in a lighter vein.

Stars: Mikaal Zulfiqar, Shayan Khan, Nayab Khan, Anzhelika Tahir, Ali Kazmi, Qavi Khan, Atiqa Odho, Azra Mohiyuddin, and Mehmood Akhtar.

3. Azaadi

The film tells the tale of an old man (Nadeem Baig) who has dedicated his life fighting for the Kashmir cause, and how his mission is carried forward by a young freedom fighter (Moammar Rana). The romance angle is provided by a British journalist (Sonya Hussyn).

Stars: Moammar Rana, Sonya Hussyn, Nadeem Baig, and Jawed Shaikh.

4. Wajood

The plot of the movie Wajood revolves around romance and thrill. Half of the movie has been shot in Pakistan and the rest of it in Turkey. The music and soundtrack has been composed by Sahir Ali Bagga who is one of the foremost music composers in Pakistan. It’s a revenge drama starring Danish Taimoor in the lead role.

Genre: Thriller

Stars: Danish Taimoor, Aditi Singh, Saeeda Imtiaz, Jawed Shaikh, Shahid, and Ali Saleem.
