Huawei’s Mate 10 phones have big screens, small bezels and AI hardware
Chinese Telecom giant Huawei launches Mate 10 series with built-in AI to challenge Apple and Samsung with premium design and greater privacy.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro looks different from the company’s past smartphones because of both features a beautifully large edge-to-edge display that could go toe-to-toe against the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The Mate 10 Pro is the latest in third-largest smartphone manufacturer Huawei’s big-screen line, which has become popular for its battery life and multitasking prowess and its price is Rs. 30,500.
The smartphone features a 5.9-inch display with full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio with minimal bezels on the left and right sides, features four cameras – two at the front, two at the back ,13-megapixel standard RGB sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome one.
Mate 10 accompanies 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage that can be expanded with a microSD card through the available hybrid SIM card slot.
The processor lacks artificial intelligence (AI) features that are available on Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro to rival top-notch offerings like the Apple iPhone X.
The Al Hardware also opposed to contacting a server to perform functions is that all the data and processing is done locally increases speed but also preserves user privacy.
Huawei is also allowing users to attach a keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth and an external monitor via a USB-C cable to perform desktop-like computing without requiring a specific dock system like rival Samsung’s Galaxy Note8.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available for in November and Analysts said Huawei could overtake Apple in market share this year.
