The Kpk Government has taken first step in Technology to establish first ever Pak-Austria frindship Institute of Applied Science and Technology in Haripur.
According to KPK Govt sources Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak laid the foundation stone of Institute of Applied Science and Technology in Mang area of district Haripur.
The total cost is Rs 9 billion for the establishment of Pak-Austria Institute and will be completed in seven years and all funds are provided by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government while Austrian universities will provide technical support.
According Chief Minister’s special assistance Mushtaq Ghani, the institute will impart high quality education equivalent to European standard with lowest possible cost to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It will offer dual degrees of the Austrian partner technical universities to its graduates.
In future the institute will offer technical courses including environmental engineering, software engineering, and multi-media technologies.
He further said the institute would offer dual degrees of the Austrian partner technical universities to its graduates. Starting this year up to 175 PhD faculties shall be sent to Austrian partner universities for two years training who, on return, shall serve the institute to best of their capabilities.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on this occasion that instead of building bridges and roads, the present PTI government has been investing in human development.
Prof. Nasir Ali Khan the Vice chancellor of the Haripur University said hat 30 faculty members of the institute will be sent to Austrian partner universities for two years training who, on return, will serve the institute.
In the last Mushtaq Ganni told to news reporters that his recent successful visit to Austria, an agreement regarding affiliation of University of Haripur with top five universities of Austria have been made that would enhance of our capabilities to provide international standard practical education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
