Shahida Rasool a blind female belongs to Multan has set an example for others by completing her PhD in Urdu from International Islamic University, Islamabad.
Shahida who lost her vision at the age of just three months, started her education from her town and completed her MA and MPhil from the Bahauddin Zakariya University of Multan.
Shahida completed her PhD in Urdu from International Islamic University while perusing with research topic cultural and social study of female characters in Urdu dramas.
By completing her PhD while having her disability, she has taught a lesson everyone that when pursuing your life goals, certain external obstacles may exist that prevent a person from attaining their dreams. These obstacles may include not having sufficient resources, dealing with a family crisis or struggling with an illness but these entire hurdles can be defeated through confidence, determination and hard work.
She is serving now as a lecturer at the Women University of Multan. She is a role model not only for blind girls, but also for all others who used to limit their dreams due to hurdle created by our society.
