Bernhard Hoëcker, real name Bernhard Hoecker – von Mühlenfels, is a German comedian, actor, author and moderator, who is particularly known for his participation in the comedy format “Genial daneben” and his appearances in the series “Switch”, which the German TV landscape parodied, became known. Bernhard Hoëcker lives with his wife and their two children in Bonn.
Bernhard Hoëcker was born on March 20, 1970 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and grew up in Frankfurt-Preungesheim. When he was ten years old, he and his family moved to Bonn, where he attended the Clara-Schumann-Gymnasium, from which he graduated with the Abitur. He then studied economics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Berhard Hoëcker completed his studies after obtaining a preliminary diploma in economics and now devoted himself exclusively to his career as a comedian and actor.
Bernhard Hoëcker gained his first experience as a comedian during his studies in Bonn when he belonged to the group “Comedy Crocodiles”. This comedy group also included Oliver Bröker, Keirut Wenzel and Bastian Pastewka. From 2001 Bernhard Hoëcker was able to gain his first theater experience in the improvisational theater “Die Springmaus” in Bonn, where he worked from 2001 to 2005.
Due to his many successful stage appearances, television producers also became aware of Bernhard Hoëcker, so that he initially got a few guest appearances in formats such as “Lollo Rosso” on the WDR station. But Bernhard Hoëcker only made a name for himself as part of his regular appearances on the television series “Switch”, in which he parodied television formats of all kinds, both nationally and internationally, with his colleagues Michael Müller, Susanne Pätzold, Petra Nadolny, Mona Sharma and Peter Nottmeier .
Bernhard Hoëcker is a permanent member of the guessing team as part of the guessing show “Ingeniously next to it”. In addition, Bernhard Hoëcker had several appearances on various quiz shows, such as “Das Quiz mit Jörg Pilawa”. Bernhard Hoëcker was also seen in the improvisational comedy show “Die Schillerstraße” from 2004 to 2011.
Since 2007 Bernhard Hoëcker has also been a permanent member of the new edition “Switch reloaded”, which was broadcast on ProSieben. In addition to acting and comedy, Bernhard Hoëcker has also published several books dealing with his hobby of geocaching (“Records of a Schnitzeljäger” (2007), “News from Geocaching” (2014)), but also with his travels (“Confessions of a New Zealand Traveler” (2012), “Hoëcker’s Discoveries” (2011)).
Relatively shortly after the start of his career, Bernhard Hoëcker already went with his first live solo program “Hoëcker, Sie sind raus!” on tour throughout Germany. This tour lasted from 2001 to 2005, with Bernhard Hoëcker starting in September 2005 with his second solo program “I’ve got it right away!” tied up.
Bernhard Hoëcker also won numerous prizes and received many awards during his career. He received most of them as an ensemble member in the formats “Switch” or “Switch reloaded” as well as for “Ingenious next to it”. As a person, Bernhard Hoëcker was awarded the “Golden Lot” by the Association of German Surveying Engineers in 2013 and the “Morenhovener Lupe”, a cabaret prize, in 2016.
