Short introduction
Dagi Bee is a German YouTuber and runs her own channel under her name. Her YouTube tutorials focus primarily on fashion and cosmetics.
early life
Dagi Bee was born to German-Polish parents on September 21, 1994 in Düsseldorf. Her maiden name is Dagmar Nicole Ochmanczyk, which has now been changed to Dagmar Nicole Kazakov through her marriage to Eugen Kazakov in 2018. Born in Düsseldorf, she began an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk after completing her vocational diploma.
Dagi Bee first came into contact with YouTube through her then boyfriend Liont, with whom she was in a relationship from 2011 to 2015. Liont had his own YouTube channel before her, for which he regularly recorded and uploaded videos. Dagi Bee had a few guest appearances in his videos before her own YouTube channel was launched on February 6th, 2012. The first video on her channel was entitled “NO-GOs bei Jungs!”. More videos followed on the topics of fashion and cosmetics and Dagi Bee enjoyed increasing popularity and success.
Career
In her videos, Dagi Bee usually gives make-up tips and fashion advice in an entertaining way and talks about everything and everything. In addition to video clicks, her sources of income come from product placements and merchandising. In addition to her YouTube channel, Dagi Bee has also gained a foothold in other media areas over the years: in 2015 she acted in a cinema film for the first time. The film was called “Potato Salad – Don’t Ask!”, in which Dagi Bee took on the role of Katrin and which was released in cinemas on July 23, 2015. This was followed by other appearances in which she was able to take part as an actress. These include the films “Fack ju Göhte 2”, “He’s back (as herself)” and “Bruder vor Luder” in 2005 as well as the web series “Wishlist” in 2016 and the film “Ostwind – Aufbruch nach Ora” in 2017 .
In 2015, after appearing in several different music videos by her ex-boyfriend Liont, Dagi Bee released the music video for KC Rebell’s “Are You Real” on her YouTube channel. She also starred in the music videos “On My Way” by Tiësto and “Sandman” by Julien Bam. In 2018, Dagi Bee released the song “DISS” starring Julien Bam, in which she raps and taunts herself with humor.
Looking back on 2014, Dagi Bee had her first major television appearance there on Stefan Raab’s entertainment format TV-Total on ProSieben.
Career highlights
Dagi Bee achieved her breakthrough in September 2014 when her YouTube channel had over a million subscribers for the first time. The channel “Dagi Bee” by Dagmar Nicole Ochmanczyk, who was born, quickly ranked 20th among the most successful German YouTube channels. Shortly thereafter, also in autumn 2014, she reached number 2 of the “10 climbers of the year” among YouTube stars.
As early as August 2014, the FAZ, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, described Dagi Bee as one of the young YouTubers who have the necessary media skills to successfully market themselves. It went on to say that she understood how to “use synergies between the different social networks and promote her YouTube channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram” which leads to a strong bond with a youthful audience. In addition, the FAZ called her a “guy next door” who “you can get in touch with at any time”.
In addition to the high number of subscribers and followers, Dagi Bee was also able to enjoy several awards in the last success. In 2015 and 2016, she won awards in the category “Favorite Video Blogger: Germany, Austria & Switzerland” at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards twice in a row, for which she was also nominated in 2017.
Famous quotes
“YouTube is honest, very different from TV where someone makes a mistake and then you reshoot everything to make it perfect. But we leave mistakes in our videos simply because it’s human. When you make a promise, it’s funny. That means authentic for me.” With this quote, Dagi Bee wants to make it known that authenticity is more important to her than perfectionism. This is meant to reflect her work as a full-blooded YouTuber and her character, which she maintains despite her success.
Amazing Facts
The fact that Dagi Bee and other YouTube stars caused quite a stir on the part of their fans was fatal to the native of Düsseldorf several times: a fan meeting in Cologne in 2014 with fellow YouTuber Bianca Claßen, also known as “Bibi” from BibisBeautyPalace, was held canceled as some fans were slightly injured. Since the overcrowded event was not approved by the city, fine proceedings were initiated.
Very few people know about their commitment to bullying victims on the Internet. In 2016, Dagi Bee took part in Glamor magazine’s #smilestorm campaign to combat cyberbullying.
What is also hardly known about Dagi Bee is the fact that she once almost died. She fell ill with appendicitis, and was able to be operated on in time.
