Kourtney Mary Kardashian is a reality show actor, co-writer, entrepreneur, and role model from America. She has three children with her former partner Scott Disick, two sons and one daughter.
Kardashian was born on April 18, 1979 in Los Angeles, California, the eldest daughter of Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Robert Kardashian was a celebrity attorney and was from Armenia. When Kardashian was 24, he passed away. Her mother is of European descent.
In 1991, the parents filed for divorce. Kris Kardashian then married the decathlon winner of the 1976 Summer Olympics Bruce Jenner, since 2015 Caitlyn Jenner. From her mother’s first marriage, Kardashian had two younger sisters, Kim and Khloé, and a younger brother, Robert. The stepbrothers Burton, Brandon and Brody and the stepsister Casey came into the second marriage. With Bruce Jenner, Kris Kardashian fathered daughters Kendall and Kylie, who became Kardashian’s half-sisters.
Kardashian attended Marymount High School, an all-girls Roman Catholic school in Los Angeles. With her degree in hand, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she attended Southern Methodist University. After two years she transferred to the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. There she completed a bachelor’s degree in theater studies with a minor in Spanish. There she met Nicole Richie and Luke Walton as classmates.
Kardashian worked summer jobs, including as a clerk at a Guess store on Rodeo Drive, to travel. She dreamed of one day appearing on the soap opera One Life to Live.
Kardashian founded several boutiques. First, in 2003, she and her mother opened the children’s clothing chain Smooch in Los Angeles and New York City, which closed 6 years later. In June 2006, Kardashian founded boutique DASH with her sisters Kim and Khloé in Los Angeles, Miami, New York City and the Hamptons. This was closed after 11 years in 2018. In early 2010, Kardashian and her sisters conceived a clothing line for Bebe, and in August they announced another line called K-Dash, distributed through QVC. In the same year they developed the self-tanner “Kardashian Glamor Tan”.
Kardashian made her television debut in 2005 on the series Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, where she earned money to support charities. Several members of the Kardashian family were later asked to step in front of the camera for the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The series proved itself on the broadcast E! as successful, which is why several spin-offs were filmed. Kardashian appeared in 2009’s Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, 2011’s Kourtney and Kim Take New York, 2013’s Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, and 2014’s Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons.
On March 28, 2011, Kardashian’s dream came true when she made her acting debut on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live as attorney Kassandra Kavanaugh. According to her own statement, she was overwhelmed with the role because she is not an actress.
Kardashian also wrote two books with her sister Khloé. Kardashian Confidential was released in November 2010. It is a part-autobiographical book of self-help tips. A year later her second book was published. “Dollhouse” is a novel that is also based on autobiographical experiences.
Kardashian’s career highlights include appearing on the still-running reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and clothing chain DASH. The boutique spawned a collection and, in 2015, the reality show Dash Dolls.
Also of note is Kardashian’s first standalone collection, which she launched in 2017 in collaboration with website PrettyLittleThing. On March 5, 2019, she launched her own lifestyle website, Poosh.

tips for success
Kardashian says her most important piece of advice came from her late father, Robert Kardashian. He kept telling his kids that money can’t buy happiness, Kardashian said at the Create & Cultivate conference in San Francisco.
She advises entrepreneurs to be authentic, to try new things and to take setbacks into account. In her opinion, it can take a while for a company to make a profit and balance its expenses.
Finally, she recommends always starting negotiations yourself. While it is more convenient to let others negotiate for you, it is always best to meet and negotiate with customers and business partners yourself.
