Lucke Mockridge was born on March 21, 1989 in Bonn. Luke has three younger and two older brothers and holds both Canadian and Italian citizenship. That’s because his father, actor and cabaret artist Bill Mockridge, is Canadian and his mother, Margie Kinsky, is Italian. The actor Bill Mockridge may still be known to some from Lindenstrasse. Luke Mockridge must have learned a lot from his godparents Hella von Sinnen and Dirk Bach.

Luke attended a high school in Bonn, where he earned his International Baccalaureate. Mockridge then studied media and communication science at various universities in Germany, England and Canada and completed his studies with a bachelor’s degree. Mockridge performed regularly during his studies. For example, in Canada he was part of the “High School Musical” stage program.

Career

Luke Mockridge set up his first solo program in 2012. The solo program was titled “I’m Lucky, I’m Luke” and was extremely popular with viewers. From 2012 to 2016, the comedian toured the cities of Germany with his program. In addition, Mockridge appeared regularly in various television formats. Whether at NightWash, in the Quatsch Comedy Club, at the RTL Comedy Grand Prix or on TV-Total, these appearances made him better known. In 2013 Mockridge got his own comedy show on ZDF and the children’s channel KiKA. This was called “Occupy School”. Around the same time, Mockridge began serving as the host of the well-known show NightWash. He took on this task until around mid-2016. In October 2013, Luke Mockridge was part of the 1LIVE Comedy Night XXL, which took place in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.

In spring 2014 Luke Mockridge published his book “Math is an asshole – How (m)ich finished school”. A year later, Mockridge got his own show on Sat. 1. The title of the show is “Luke! The week and I.” Towards the end of 2016, Mockridge led through a year in review dubbed “Luke! The year and I” wore. In May 2017, the comedian then hosted another show of his own called “Luke! Die Schule und ich.” In addition, Mockride appeared in many other TV formats. His latest project is “Luke! The Great Night Show”.
