The current positivity rate is still around 10% which is alarmingly high
Pakistan reported a little over 4,800 positive coronavirus cases yesterday, the lowest in weeks. 70 people succumbed to the virus during the day. The positivity ratio to tests continues to hover around the 10% mark with over 50,000 tests conducted, as per NCOC.
Over 80,000 people are still active coronavirus patients in the country. The total number of positive cases has surpassed 800,000 while more than 694,000 people have recovered from it. Over 17,000 people have passed away from the virus with 157 the highest number in a single day which took place last week.
Following SOPs is crucial and people need to realize that wearing a mask is for their own good. India’s daily cases have crossed 350,000 per day and the country is running out of oxygen and capacity to cater to more patients. It is imperative that we do all we can to avoid such a catastrophic situation in our country.
