Sidney Hoffmann was born in Dortmund and grew up there. After elementary school, he went to high school in his hometown of Dortmund and passed his Abitur after high school. Already at the age of 16 he recognized his interest in everything technical, whereby he was particularly drawn to motorcycles. In 2007, Sidney Hoffmann, in collaboration with his partner Jean Pierre Kraemer, founded the company Five Star Performance GmbH in his hometown of Dortmund. Through a pilot film that was broadcast on Focus TV, Sidney Hoffmann and his partner received their own docu-soap on DSF from 2009, which they called Die PS-Profis – Mehr Power aus dem Pott. The filming locations for the programs were various business and workshop rooms of the joint workshop in Dortmund.
