Haftzettel (real name: Aykut Anhan), also known as “Haft, Hafti, Babo”, was signed to Urban/Universal Music in 2013 after his hit song “Chabos Know Who Babo Is”. It was all uphill from there for the street rapper. In addition to his music, the artists on his own labels are now making him a lot of money. Apart from rap, he also earns a golden nose with his own fashion line called “Chabos”, as well as a shisha café and associated shisha tobacco.
Aykut Anhan was born on December 16, 1985 in Offenbach. His parents were of Turkish descent. At first, Hafti’s life was relatively quiet. He went to school normally and didn’t behave in a conspicuous manner. This changed abruptly after his depressed father not only took his own life, but also left his family with a huge mountain of debt. From that point on, the then 14-year-old said he “didn’t care”. Crime caught up with him. He dropped out of school, became a delinquent and even had to serve a juvenile prison sentence.
In 2006, an arrest warrant was issued against him for fraud. He owes his stage name to this today. To avoid imprisonment, he fled to relatives in Istanbul, Turkey.
It was during this time that he began to write “rap lyrics” for the first time. He then went on to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) before returning to his hometown of Offenbach am Main.
Once there, he began an apprenticeship as a car mechatronics technician, but broke it off again and then ran a betting shop “Tipico”.
His career started in May 2009. The singer “Jonesmann” discovered the then 20-year-old arrest warrant and signed him to his label “Echte Musik”. From there, the gangster rapper gradually began to make a name for himself, which even earned him a feature with rappers Manuellsen and Kollegah. At the end of 2010 his first studio album was released under the name “Azzlack Stereotyp”. With this he rose to number 59 in the German album charts. There were no placements in Austria and Switzerland for the time being.
In April 2011, the Echte Musik label closed, prompting Haftbefehl to start his own music company, Azzlackz. At the same time, he signed the now extremely successful rappers “Celo & Abdi, Milonair, Hanybal, Dú Maroc, Veysel and his brother Capo.
On February 10, 2012 his second album “Kanackis” was released. This not only landed in the German top ten, but also reached the charts in Austria (number 36) and Switzerland (number 12).
Among others, artists like Sido and Jan Delay vouched for the album, with feature parts for the talented Offenbacher.
In 2013 Haft released his third album “Blockplatin”. Although it was in the top ten in DE, AT and CH, two years later it was put on the index by the Federal Testing Agency for Media Harmful to Young Persons. According to the BPJM, the lyrics glorified drug abuse, violence and discrimination against women. Nonetheless, after the release, the “Babo” was signed by Universal.
At the end of 2014 the album “Russian Roulette” was released by the international production company, which was again enough for a top 10 placement. In 2016, Haftbefehl’s fifth and most successful studio album to date was released. In DE, AT and CH he reached number one in the charts and stayed there for several weeks.
With the song “Chabos know who the Babo is” (album: Blockplatin), Aykut Anhan not only got himself a record deal. The word “Babo” integrated into the German youth language. In November 2013, a jury from the Langenscheidt publishing house chose “BABO” as the youth word of the year 2013.
Over the years, Haftbefehl has received numerous awards from the largest rap news platforms in Germany (Hiphop.de and JUICE). such as B. 2010 “Best Newcomer National” or 2015 “Best Rap Solo Act National” and many more.
On September 27, 2019, the series “Skylines” was released on Netflix. This is all about rap in Frankfurt. As the title track, the producers chose the 2015 released track “069” by Haftbefehl.
- “And since when do snakes have wings, everyone put them on angels, but they were just Seytan’s game”
- “I see my mistakes, they should teach me a lesson”
- “Whoever says the crooked path was the easy one is talking shit!”
Towards the end of 2018, the arrest warrant caused quite a stir. In collaboration with Til Lindemann, the lead singer of Rammstein, he released the song “Mathematik”.
It’s nothing new that artists who are successful in their genre like to team up with their peers in other genres of music. This combination, however, really had it all.
The Frankfurt rapper is often said to have “anti-Semitism”. For example, he is supposed to pretend to be a Jewish carpet salesman named “Jako Goldstein” in hotels, just for fun, in order to receive discounts. However, the successful entrepreneur strictly knows of any racist allegations.
